Bertrand de Guitaut
Originally from Burgundy, but having spent most of his life in Madagascar farming avocados, Bertrand was drawn to natural winemaking later in life due to his love of agriculture and innate respect for the environment. He moved his family to Banyuls in the early 2000’s where he got plugged into the small but mighty natural wine community. After a few successful vintages making terroir-driven wines, practicing organic farming and with no additives whatsoever in the cellar, he went on to co-found Les 9 Caves with Bruno Duchêne.
